Philosophy
By using a combination of
Ballet, Modern Dance, Yoga and Creative Movement Stories,
children learn to dance and move their bodies in new and
creative ways while building coordination, self-confidence,
balance and gross motor skills.
A Typical Dance Class
Each class includes a warm up based on brain research
conducted by Anne Green Gilbert. Following the warm up the group explores a dance concept (i.e. size,
direction, pathway etc.) with teacher directed and child directed games and
stories. A combination is taught; children build on previously learned skills, reflect on what they have learned
and cool down at the end of class.
